Artist Aran de Baron was inspired by our portrait of 'Sunny' who calls her scar her 'Shark Bite'. Thanks to Omni Skateboards we've printed our first ScarreDeck!

ScarreDecks is about making scars cool; to help young people sporting some pretty gnarly scars feel empowered by their bodies. The project involves illustrators/graphic artists designing skate decks inspired by our cancer scars. The designs will be printed on quality skateboards, showcased in exhibitions and at skating/music events and ultimately sold to raise money for Scar Stories.

WE WANT YOU!

We are looking for artists who want to make a difference to the people involved in the project. Being the inspiration for cool art, truly makes our young cancer survivors feel empowered and unique because of their scar.

Hayley uses skateboarding to stay fit! She's a scar-rockin' survivor and she's ready to share that with the world.

Design a skatedeck:

1. Using one or more of Scar Stories’ approved models to inspire your artwork;
2. That is empowering for cancer survivors;
3. In a style that is suitable for skateboards and will appeal to the skating community.

All artworks that fulfill the brief will be professionally printed and showcased at Scar Stories events.
